WHY?
I solve problems in my life and my work the same way: by asking a single, simple question. Why?
It's a wonderfully inconvenient habit. Once you've asked "why" enough times, you start seeing loose threads everywhere. A confusing marketing campaign. An unexpected data point. A website that insists on hiding the button everyone needs. Some mysteries are bigger than others, but they all begin the same way—with curiosity.
That curiosity is what originally drew me to marketing. Analytics is where I found the magic.
To me, data has never been the destination. It's a compass. Numbers tell us what happened, but they rarely tell the whole story. The real work begins by connecting patterns to people, asking better questions, and uncovering the reasons behind the results.
I've found that an analytical mindset isn't about finding the fastest answer. It's about finding the right one. Sometimes that means validating a hunch. More often, it means challenging assumptions, testing ideas, and having the humility to pivot when the evidence proves you wrong.
The most valuable aspects of analytics don't just live in spreadsheets and slide decks. They are translated into websites, paid campaigns, and streamlined processes that solve real problems. Analytics bridge the gap between companies and the people they serve, transforming insight into action.
This blog is a place to explore that process. I'll share lessons from marketing, analytics, AI, research, and the occasional rabbit hole that starts with a simple question and ends somewhere I never expected. If nothing else, I hope it leaves you asking "why?" a little more often.
